West Auckland's a mixed bag and we've fenced most of it. Older Henderson, Te Atatū and New Lynn properties usually need boundary fences replaced where the originals have rotted out — straight timber replacements or horizontal slat are the common picks. Massey, Ranui and Swanson have a lot of family homes on bigger sections, so we're often doing full boundary runs plus a side gate or two.

Out towards Titirangi, Laingholm and the bush-edge suburbs the access can be tight and the ground steep, so we plan the job around it. A lot of those properties want something that blends in — dark-stained timber, slat fencing, or aluminium that disappears against the bush. Newer subdivisions in Hobsonville Point and Westgate want clean modern lines and proper pool fencing signed off to NZS 8500.

Aluminium fencing is a growing pick across the West — powder-coated panels in black, charcoal or Karaka green that hold up against the damp bush-edge climate without rusting or needing repaints. It's a clean modern look that suits the newer Hobsonville and Westgate builds, and it doubles up nicely as pool fencing where you need the see-through compliant barrier. We install the panels on aluminium posts with concealed fixings, so the finish stays sharp for years.
